Deaf Language

ASL and other forms of language are considered their own languages, which gives them power over Spanglish and Ebonics. From personal experience I would say that Spanglish and Ebonics are more slang and reformed English than anything else. ASL is completely foreign to English.

I speak English. It's the only language I know. I couldn't communicate with someone who only understood ASL. If I was talking to someone who only spoke Spanglish or Ebonics, I'm pretty sure I'd understand what they were saying.
