I Find that the way we talk about men and women is totally different, men are put up on a pedestal reguardless of what they do. Women in this society are talked down upon, as if they are objects in a sense. The first step as men is to change the way we think about the people we desire most. This is a hard thing to do because in this society desire and ownership go hand in hand. To overcome this we must forget about sexual desires and focus on creating a human connection.

Forget sexual desire and put women on a pedestal? Sounds like a pretty Victorian program to me. Perhaps you should be more specific about where this should be done(in the home, workplace, media, etc.). Surely there's enough room for both eros and ethos, providing we keep each in its proper sphere.
I am gonna ride the fence on this one I feel that women are treated fairly well at least in my life. I try and give them the respect they deserve!

Man I'll tell you what, being a man is a pain sometimes due to the fact that we are all born with a through the roof sex drive. Whats hard is when some women flaunt themselves as an object of sexuality to the men but get offended that we attract to them for it.
I actually had a hard time convincing myself that the way we talk about and treat women should be altered for the better. I agree that flirting is fun, but when you flirting you are trying to be smooth and cool, not leaning over and saying vulgar things to your buddy.
Sexual desires flood your perseptions of reality, if you can look past those things you might actually develop a sincere relationship based on friendship, not friendship and booty.

In this society men are totally on a pedestal! I overstated that they can get away with anything but women have a severe disadvantage in most spheres of american life. I think that the workplace is an exceptional example of this.
That is a catch 22, I know as well as any dude how bad women can drive us up and around the walls. That is why I said to think about women diferently, maybe if I had spent more time on my main idea this could have made more sense.
